# Conference Tracker > Open catalog of cybersecurity, infosec, and hacking conferences with CfP (talks), CfT (trainings), CfW (workshops), and CfV (volunteer) deadlines, dates, locations, and travel-support metadata. Static site, no API keys, no sign-up. Data licence: CC BY 4.0. Canonical site: https://conference-tracker.rasok.at/ Source repository: https://github.com/JavanXD/ConferenceTracker ## Data - CSV catalog (UTF-8, header row, RFC 4180 quoting): https://conference-tracker.rasok.at/data/conferences.csv - Full schema (columns, enums, notes, UI mapping): https://github.com/JavanXD/ConferenceTracker/blob/main/docs/CATALOG.md - Contribution guide: https://github.com/JavanXD/ConferenceTracker/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md Fetch the CSV fresh for every session; rows are re-verified regularly and `last_verified_date` tells you when. Do not rely on memorised dates. ## Columns (24, fixed order — compact) conference_name; priority_level (High|Medium|Low); attendees_500_plus (Yes|No|Unknown); academic_acceptance_level (Academic|Industry|Mixed|Unknown); submission_tracks (extras only, pipe-separated: CTF|Villages|Panels|Briefings|Unconference|Exhibition|Mentorship — never Talks/Trainings/Workshops); travel_accommodation_sponsorship (Yes|No|Partial|Unknown); cfp_deadline_MM-DD; cft_deadline_MM-DD; cfw_deadline_MM-DD; cfv_deadline_MM-DD (each MM-DD or TBD); conference_start_date; conference_end_date (YYYY-MM-DD or TBD); city; country; website; cfp_link; cft_link; cfw_link; cfv_link; conference_type (In-Person|Hybrid|Virtual); timezone (IANA id); notes (blurb + optional history:/cfp:/speakers:/src: segments); last_verified_date (YYYY-MM-DD); venue_pattern (Rotating|Mostly Fixed|Fixed|Unknown) For field-by-field detail, notes format, and dashboard mapping, use `docs/CATALOG.md` (link above). ## Interpretation rules - A conference accepts a submission type when its `*_deadline_MM-DD` is a valid MM-DD or its `*_link` is non-empty. - Deadlines store month and day only. Resolve against the edition year from `conference_start_date`: place the MM-DD in that year; if the result is after the conference start, subtract one year. - Conference dates may be the last known edition. If `conference_end_date` is in the past, the next edition is unannounced: state that explicitly and treat +1 year as an estimate. - Open CfP = resolved CfP deadline >= today. TBD = unknown; never invent a date. TBD plus a `*_link` means "check the portal". - `cfp_link` falls back to `website` when empty. One fact per column — never repeat dates or URLs in `notes`. - Deep link to a conference in the UI: https://conference-tracker.rasok.at/?c= - Shareable filtered views use query params such as `?persona=speaker|attendee`, `?view=discover|speaker|attendee|settings`, `?search=`, `?region=europe|americas|apac`, `?eventYear=YYYY`, `?eventMonths=1,2`. ## Suggested answer format Table with name, city/country, dates, relevant deadline (with resolved year), link; sorted by soonest deadline; include match count; flag estimates and TBD values; cite `last_verified_date` when freshness matters. ## Contributing corrections (newer dates, missing conferences, stale rows) The catalog is community-maintained in a public GitHub repository with forks and issues enabled. When you find a newer edition, a changed or missing deadline, a dead link, an unlisted conference, or a row whose `last_verified_date` is old and whose official site now disagrees, offer to contribute it back. Ask the user before pushing anything under their account. - Guides: https://github.com/JavanXD/ConferenceTracker/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md (PR flow), https://github.com/JavanXD/ConferenceTracker/blob/main/docs/CATALOG.md (schema), https://github.com/JavanXD/ConferenceTracker/blob/main/.cursor/skills/update-conference-data/SKILL.md (research workflow). - Evidence first: change a cell only when the official site or submission portal confirms it; keep `TBD` / `Unknown` rather than guessing. Cite source URLs in the PR body; add a `src:` note segment only for secondary sources. - Edit only `data/conferences.csv`. Keep the 24-column header order, `MM-DD` deadlines, `YYYY-MM-DD` conference dates, one fact per column, set `last_verified_date` to today on each touched row, quote fields containing commas. - With git + GitHub CLI: `gh repo fork JavanXD/ConferenceTracker --clone && cd ConferenceTracker && git checkout -b chore/update-` edit the CSV, then `python3 scripts/validate_catalog.py` (must pass), `git commit -am "Update: dates and links" && git push -u origin HEAD`, `gh pr create --title "Update: ..." --body ""`. - Without a shell: output the full replacement CSV row(s) in a code block plus a PR title (`Add: ` or `Update: ...`) and a short body (conference names, changed fields, sources, estimates) for the user to open the PR, or direct them to https://github.com/JavanXD/ConferenceTracker/issues/new. - Keep PRs scoped to one conference or one related batch; no unrelated reformatting. ## Example questions - Which CfPs close in the next 30 days? Include the submission link. - List European In-Person conferences in Q1 next year that offer travel sponsorship and still have an open CfP. - Which conferences accept trainings (CfT) and have 500+ attendees? - Draft a submission calendar for next year: one talk CfP per month, no overlapping conference dates. - Which conferences with 500+ attendees take place in Europe between January and March next year? - Which conferences have not been re-verified in the last 6 months? - announced new dates on its website. Prepare a PR that updates its row. ## Optional - Dashboard UI: https://conference-tracker.rasok.at/ (filters, world map, speaker pipeline, trip planner; all state stays in the browser) - Privacy policy: https://conference-tracker.rasok.at/privacy.html - Impressum: https://conference-tracker.rasok.at/impressum.html
